Adi Muktheeswara Swamy Temple is one of the famous Shaivite temples in Kaleshwaram town in Telangana state. It is worshipped as one of the affiliated temples of Sri Kaleshwara Muktheeswara Swamy Devasthanam complex. Adi Muktheeswara Swamy: The Lord is enshrined in the form of Shivalinga in this temple. The word “Adi” indicates that the temple is of ancient Shaivite tradition. Devotees believe that the temple is a sacred place for Shiva devotees and that they can attain salvation by visiting this temple. Best Time to Visit
Mahasivaratri (February-March): Special abhishekams and marriage ceremonies of Shiva and Parvathi are performed in the temple during this period. Night vigils and Shiva bhajans stimulate the devotees spiritually.
Karthika month (October-November): Devotees go for darshan on every Monday and on Karthika Pournami day. Karthika Deepotsavam, Usiriya forest pradakshinas, and bathing in Godavari are considered very auspicious. Shravan month (July-August): Shiva abhishekam is specially performed on Mondays of Shravan. Devotees visit the temple in large numbers.
Winter (October-February): The cool weather is conducive to temple darshan. It is a good time for devotees to perform pujas freely.
