Sri Sangameshwara Swamy Temple is located at the confluence of the Godavari, Pranahita and Saraswati rivers in Kaleshwaram, a famous Shaivite temple in the state of Telangana. This temple is part of the Sri Kaleshwara Mukteeshwara Swamy Temple complex and offers a special spiritual experience to the devotees. Since this temple is located at the confluence of the Godavari and Pranahita rivers, it is named Sangameshwara Swamy Temple. Since the confluence is sacred, devotees take a bath in the Godavari river here and have darshan of the Lord. It is believed that the Shivalinga in this temple has emerged as Swayambhumi. It is believed that devotees can worship here and get rid of their sins.
Triveni Sangam Mahatyam
This place is considered the Kashi of the South. This place, where the Godavari, Pranahita and Saraswati rivers meet, is very sacred for performing Pitru Tarpanam and Shraddha rituals. A large number of devotees come here to perform tarpanam during the month of Ashadha and Amavasya.

Karthika month (October – November): Special programs are held in this temple during the Karthika Pournami pujas., Deeparadhana and Karthika Monday pujas are special. Mahashivratri (February – March): Shivaratri Brahmotsavams are held with great splendor., The temple premises are filled with Shivamam with the chanting of Shiva’s name all night long. Godavari Pushkaras (Once in 12 years): Lakhs of devotees visit Sangameshwara Swamy Temple during the Pushkaras., Holy bath in Godavari, Pitru tarpanam and special pujas are performed. Shravan month (July – August): Shivaradhana is specially performed on Shravan Monday., Devotees mostly take holy bath in Triveni Sangam.
